Qualcomm will invest heavily in developers and enterprises to build a metaverse ecosystem.
Including AR, XR, and AI.
They have set up $100 million for the Snapdragon Metaverse Fund program.
These funds will given through a combination of venture investments in by Qualcomm Ventures as part of Qualcomm Technologies.
Furthermore, this funding will later be given to leading XR companies.
In order to develop the use of this technology in various fields.
Such as gaming, health and fitness, media, entertainment, education, to business purposes.
Besides, Qualcomm said that every companies which participate in this program will receive early access.
The access will be;
- A number of XR technology platforms
- ranging from hardware
- investor networks
- opportunities to create co-marketing and promotions.
The registration for the Snapdragon Metaverse Fund program will open in June 2022.
Qualcomm President and CEO, Cristiano Amon, hopes this program will empower developers and companies.
And also to encourage them to develop this new generation of technology.

Other than that, Qualcomm also announce the partnership with Square Enix as part of the Snapdragon Spaces Project.
Through this program, Snapdragon wants to develop a headset to deliver a mixed-reality gaming experience.
And surely, it will help metaverse ecosystem.
