Meta as a technology company contributes in the making a largest and fastest supercomputer to power the so-called Metaverse in the future.
The technology named computers is familiar in this era, we can see, use or even buy a computer in various types. Together with it, computers help and support us to make easier way to do human activities.
We have many types that we can choose to be ours, as fit as our needs. Whereas, there is more advance computer that can be use to help more than human’s daily activities.
According to Pawsey Supercomputing Center’s book entitled A Brief History of Supercomputing, there is more super power computers that can helps huge projects.
It usually working on models of the universe or different astral bodies, the interactions of atoms and molecules in physics. Moreover, its also can used for nanoparticle research for medicine, and fluid dynamics modelling for aquifers, named Super Computer.
Meta, contributes on the making supercomputer to power the Metaverse in the future. In early 2020, Meta built a Research SuperCluster (RSC) as an AI supercomputer. As a result, they believe that it will be the largest and fastest supercomputer in the world.
Sourcing Manager at Meta, George Niznik said that organically they leveraged team’s people, partnership, and technology to built high-performance computing. In addition, Nasser Elaawar, the Network Engineer at Meta added the large scale of a GPU cluster that build by Meta. Accordingly, it will help the researchers to use actual data and its really interesting for the future of Metaverse.
